Les six Sonates pour violon opus 27 d'Eugène Ysae figurent au Panthéon de l'archet moderne. Initialement destinées à six violonistes contemporains du compositeur belge (dont Joseph Szigeti et Georges Enesco), ces oeuvres exigent de l'interprète une virtuosité et un spectre de nuances rarement exprimés auparavant. La violoniste Tai Murray en relève le défi et entame ainsi, après avoir été encensée par la critique américaine, sa carrière discographique avec Harmonia Mundi. Une révélation à suivre.
